Thoughts on This Work
I want Nagomi Ekoda to be a place where guests can truly relax in both body and mind, and feel at home. Seeing a guest’s smile or the look of relief on their face after a session always makes me happy.
If I can help you reset, so you can head into what’s next with a fresh feeling, even just a little, that’s what I value most.
Things I Love
Movies, visiting zoos (I especially love polar bears and capybaras), Buddhist statues, classic cafés, long-distance train trips, rakugo (Japanese comic storytelling), piano, receiving massage myself, aroma and incense, and parties(!).
Because I’ve been here for many years, people sometimes assume I’m a bit strict or scary, but at drinking parties I do joke around now and then.
Qualifications
Deep Muscle Approach® Therapist, NARD Aroma Adviser, JAA Aroma Coordinator

Thoughts on This Work
In my previous career I worked as an okami (manager) at a kaiseki restaurant and as a hula instructor.
My lifelong themes are food, beauty and health, and through this work I now also want to focus on “health of body and mind”.
I try to first cherish the people and things close to me from the heart, and I would be very happy if I can extend that care to many more people through my work. My goal is to become a therapist who can convey that care through my techniques.
Things I Love
I love hula, basketball and other sports.
I played basketball for six years under the same coach when I was a student, and was lucky enough to receive several awards such as MVP and Top Scorer, and to join the prefectural representative team. Back then, I was probably running at full speed about 360 days out of the year (laugh).
I also love cooking and Japanese sake, and have many friends I enjoy eating and drinking with!
Qualifications
Deep Muscle Approach® Therapist, Certified Cook, Japan Sake Navigator, Secretarial Skills Test Grade 3, Word Processing Test Grade 3

Thoughts on This Work
I’ve had many different jobs, but I feel there aren’t many where people directly say “thank you” to you as often as they do in this work.
I believe that unless I myself stay healthy in both body and mind, I can’t help others to relax, so I pay a lot of attention to my own condition too.
I’m grateful that guests choose to spend their valuable time coming to our salon, and I do my best so that they can leave thinking, “I’m glad I came today”.
Things I Love
I’ve loved comedy since I was in elementary school, especially watching manzai and sketch comedy. There was a time when I went to comedy shows twice a week, and at that point I felt truly happy I had moved from Sendai to Tokyo (laugh).
Recently I’m hooked on watching comedy on YouTube. If you have any favorite comedians, please tell me!
